Yala Peak Climbing may be relatively non-technical however, it might be a huge milestone for newcomers. On the summit of Yala Peak, you will be treated clear view of Shishapangma Mountain, the highest mountain in Tibet.
Furthermore, Yala Peak Climb Langtang Valley Trekking is an 11-day-long trek saturated with heightened imagery of snowy mountains and cultural richness. Our Journey commences with a lengthy drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi taking in the sights of the lovely Trishuli River.
Thereafter, we navigate through a series of treks, forging our path towards Yala Base Camp. Treks are; Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel, Lama Hotel to Mundu via Langtang Village, Mundu to Kyanjin Gompa, Kyanjin Gompa to Tserko Ri, Tserko Ri to Kyanjin Gompa, and finally to Yala Kharka Base Camp.
This sequence of excursions will take you through tough terrain before ending on gorgeous mountain summits. On our journey, we first come across a forest with lush, giant trees, which brings us to Ghora Tabela.
We also discovered a location that was once a thriving Langtang town and tourist destination but is now nothing more than stones as a result of a major earthquake in 2015.
We will now wander through Langtang Village, which is set among the majestic Himalayan peaks. This community was damaged in the 2015 earthquake, however, it has been rebuilt. Here we learn about their lifestyle and traditional culture.
Additionally, this settlement is endowed with breathtaking views of Langtang and Gonchompe. Following that, we see various Buddhist artifacts, monasteries, and rocks with Buddhist inscriptions etched into them at Kyajin Gompa. Kyajin Gompa offers a distinct spiritual environment and a peaceful air.
Finally, after 9 to 10 hours of steady hiking and brief tea breaks, we arrive at Tsergo Ri. Tsergo Ri is the most gorgeous spot we’ve seen on our travels so far. It’s located around 5000 meters above sea level. From here, we get a stunning view of the Langtang Glacier, Gosaikunda Lake, Bhairabkunda, and gorgeous mountain ranges brimming with the beauty of Nature.
The tranquil picture of landscapes emerging from snowy dust, as well as fuzzy views of mountains with clouds poured into them, is simply breathtaking. We can get a panoramic view of around 20 mountain peaks from here.
After visiting all these euphoric places crafted by Nature, we ultimately reach Yala Base Camp, the vantage point from where our climbing expedition begins. Here, we prepare for the impending difficult trek while admiring the breathtaking view of the Annapurna Region Massif, including Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, and Ganesh Himal.
The next day will be the most toughest yet exciting day of our journey, we climb to the summit of Yala Peak elevated at the height of 5732 meters. You may experience steep inclination and slippery boulders, however, the pristine view of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, and Shishapangma peaks will keep you motivated.
From the top, we get an expansive panoramic view of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, and Shishapangma peaks and on the same day we return back to our base camp. Thenceforth, we head back to Kathmandu following these treks, Yala Base Camp to Kyanjin Gompa. Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel, Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi, and lastly, a splendid drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu.
Kathmandu will be marked as the end of our journey taking the wonderful memory as a souvenir.
