This 24-day trek features incredible mountain ranges such as Mt Manaslu, Mt Ganesh Himal, Mt Sringi, ancient monasteries like Mu Gompa, Rachen Gompa, and many more iconic places. Additionally, this trek also features stunning views of the rivers throughout the trek. We are also rewarded with special places such as Birendra Lake and Manaslu Glacier.
Our journey begins in Kathmandu, the heart of Nepal. From here, we drive to Maccha Khola. Then, we begin our hiking by reaching Jagat, then from Jagat to Lokpa, Lokpa to Chumling, Chumling to Chhokangparo, Chhokangparo to Nile, and Nile to Mu Gompa.
Furthermore, Mu Gompa is an ancient monastery featuring a life-size statue of Avalokiteshwara and portraits of Padmasambhava and Tara.
Then, we trek back to Chhokangparo to reach Gumba Lungdang. We reach Mt Ganesh Himal Base Camp by hiking from Gumba Lungdang. Ganesh Himal Base Camp promises stunning landscapes filled with towering mountain peaks and a serene atmosphere.
After that, we head on to Chumling from Gumba Lungdang, Chumling to Deng, Deng to Namrung, Namrung to Sama.
After reaching Sama, we can visit Birendra Lake, named after the Late King Birendra Shah, offering tranquil views of the mountain peaks and a pristine atmosphere. Moreover, Pungen Gompa is also located in the area. After acclimatizing in Sama, we reach Samdo and then acclimatize ourselves in Rui La.
Rui La borders Nepal and Tibet and offers stunning views of the Himalayan ranges and Fukang glacier. Following that, we return to Samdo, and it is from Samdo that we travel to Dharmasala. During our descent to Dharmasala, we can witness the views of the tranquil Larkya Glacier. Then, we trek from Dharmasala to Larke-La(5160m).
Larke-La Pass, renowned for its breathtaking atmosphere, is situated at an altitude of 5160m and provides an excellent viewpoint for Cho Danda and Larkya Peak. Afterward, we descend back to Bhimtang and back to Dharapuri. Then, we take a long drive to conclude our 24-day adventurous trek in Kathmandu.
On this trek, we are welcomed by a warm reception from the local inhabitants of the mountain. We also get the opportunity to indulge in their culture and lifestyle. In addition, we get to stroll along one of the most breathtaking paths that has ever been created, along with juniper and rhododendron forests, breathtaking scenery, and vistas of rivers at every turn.
