Tamang Cultural Trek

Tamang Cultural Trek is not a well-known trekking destination, yet it is quite beautiful and will provide you with an authentic experience of Nepal’s cultural richness. This trek drives you into the lush green forest, beautiful Himalayan ranges, and charming customs of the native population. 

This Trek delivers one of the most beautiful landscapes of Nepal blended with, open meadows, and rhododendron woods. Moreover, insights into Tamang people’s culture, craft, and unique architecture houses, will boost your cultural experience. 

Furthermore, the Tamang Cultural Trek is a 10-day trek with constant ascends and descends, however, the terrains are not so rough so this trek is not believed to be burdensome. Also, this trek is stationed at Langtang region, so you will get a glimpse of Langtang Lirung, Langtang Ri, and Ganesh Himal. 

Enough talk, let’s start our journey, We embark on this journey with a 7 long hour’s drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. The gigantic Trisuli River accompanies this drive and you may even see whitewater rafters challenging the big rapids. 

Afterward, we go on three treks to reach our highest and most visually beautiful destination stop, Nagthali Gnyang. The three treks will be, Syabrubesi to Gatlang, Gatlang to Tatopani, and Tatopani to Thuman passing Nagthali Gnyang. 

Our these three treks will be loaded with both natural beauty and cultural depth. Firstly you will see gorgeous sights of Ganesh Himal, Gosaikunda range, and Goljung valley. Then, you get to Tamang town, jeweled up with the customs and culture of inhabitants and beautiful stone houses. Here, feel free to explore old monasteries and Parvati Kund. 

Thenceforth, You will be greeted by the unreal architecture of the mani walls leaving you stunned followed by a mesmerizing lake of Chilime Hydropower Dam. Also, you will be provided with natural hot springs where you can relax and re-energize yourself.  

Finally, we reached the highest altitude point in our journey, Nagthali Gnyang. Nagthali Gnyang delivers mesmerizing views of towering snowy peaks, Tibetan Himal, Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, and Shishapangma. Mountain emerging from clouds enhances the beauty of these Himalayas. 

Here we enjoy our delicious lunch taking in the gorgeous panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges. Afterward, we will be greeted by Tibetian people in Tamang hamlet with very good hospitality. They will even dance in Tibetan style and encourage you to dance with them. Here you will experience the indigenous culture of Nepal at its peak. 

Then we will be trekking from Thuman to Briddhim and Briddhim to Lama Hotel passing through a scenic view of Bhote Koshi River. After a relaxing night at Lama Hotel, we trek back to Syabrubesi and drive back to Kathmandu from Syabrubesi enjoying the majestic view of Trishuli River.
