The trails of this trek offer magnificent views of beautiful rugged landscapes and snowy majestic Himalayan ranges. Langtang Valley Trek is a short trek of 8 days however, it is fully packed with adventure, thrill, and natural beauty.
As this trek is only 8 days long, it is ideal for weekends or short holidays. Now, Let’s start our journey. Our journey commences, with a 7 – 8 hours long drive from Katmandu to Syabrubesi. Here in the drive, you get scenic sights of Trisuli River and whitewater rafters challenging the big rapids.
Moreover, you will also get a glimpse of Manaslu Massif, Ganesh, Jungal Himal, and Langtang Himalayas. This series of treks will come with a lot of rugged terrains followed by beautiful mountain peaks. On our journey, firstly we encounter a forest with lush gigantic trees which leads us to Ghora Tabela. We also came across a place that once was a blissful village of Langtang and also a tourist hub, but now it’s just boulders due to a 2015 massive earthquake.
Thenceforth, we stroll through Langtang Village nestled upon beautiful Himalaya ranges. Although this village was destroyed in the 2015 earthquake, it has been rebuilt. Here we get insights into their lifestyle and traditional culture. Also, this village is blessed with astounding views of Langtang and Gonchompe
Thereafter, we get to experience several Buddhist artifacts, monasteries, and rocks with Buddhist inscriptions carved into them on Kyajin Gompa. Kyajin Gompa has a unique spiritual atmosphere with a calm aura.
Lastly, after 9 to 10 hours of continuous hike with small tea breaks, we finally reach Tsergo Ri. Tsergo Ri is the most beautiful place in our entire journey, Tsergo Ri is stationed about 5000 meters above sea level. From here, we get a pristine view of Langtang Glacier, Gosaikunda Lake, Bhairabkunda, and beautiful mountain ranges.
The serene view of landscapes emerging from the clouds, and blurry images of mountains, like clouds are poured into them is truly a sight worth seeing. Here, we get to witness a broad panoramic view of about 20 mountain peaks.
After a quality time at Tsergo Ri, we finally retraced back to Kyanjin Gompa, then Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel, and finally Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi. Even on our way back, the delightful view on each step will be equally beautiful, like it’s your first time seeing it.
Finally, we drive back from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu taking in the majestic view of rugged landscapes and Trishuli river. Thereafter, you will be escorted back to the airport. Here!
