Chulu East Peak Climbing Semi Annapurna Circuit is a combination of Chulu East Peak Climbing with some trace of Annapurna Region. This trek is ideal for those people with physically fit body wanting adventurous journeys. 

Furthermore, The view of a Snow-capped mountain would be visible throughout the way making your journey more beautiful. Chulu East Peak Climbing Semi Annapurna Circuit promises an exciting journey along with serene sublime views.

Chulu East Peak Climbing Semi Annapurna Circuit trek is a 20-day long trek. Our journey starts with a peaceful drive from Kathmandu to Syange enjoying the mesmerizing view of Himalayan peaks. 

From the next our journey begins with a trek to Dharapani, then to Chame, Chame to Pisang, Pisang to Julu, and finally Julu to Chulu Base Camp. Along our journey, majestic mountain ranges will follow us throughout our way making the journey a little bit easier.  

On our series of journeys to reach Chulu Base Camp, we come across Lamjung District, followed by the colossal Marsyangdi River. While on a trek to Chame, we will be getting small sightings of Mount Manaslu. This small sighting of Mount Manaslu would tremendously increase your stamina as the beauty of Mount Manaslu is unmatched. 

Moreover, we will stumble upon numerous villages on our way, Dharapani Village, Bhratang Village, Pisang Village, Ngwal Village, and lastly Julu Village. We will spend nights in each of these villages. 

Each village has its own unique atmosphere making you realize Nepal truly is very diverse but is still united. You get the chance to immerse in each village’s traditional culture and lifestyle. 

Then, we stroll through the divine view of Manang Valley. The elegance of Manang Valley will keep you in a state of awe for a while. 

Afterward, we finally reached Chulu Base Camp our major destination stop. Chulu Base Camp has its own charm lighting upon the dramatic landscapes with towering images of mountains. 

Thenceforth, on the next day we go on a climb of Chulu East Peak. Through ice terrains and peculiar snowy slopes, we get to Chulu East Peak. Although our guide navigates us through the safest and easiest route, the easy route itself is a lot of challenging. 

After reaching the summit of Chulu East Peak, we get an encompassing panoramic view of beautiful mountain ranges along with Annapurna Damodar Himal. After enjoying the extravagant view of Chulu East Peak will trek back to Julu Village. 

Then after another set of hikes, Juku to Manang and  Manang to Yak Kharka we reach the Thorang La which is about 5416 meters above sea level. This would be the highest point of our whole journey. 

This will be the highlight of our whole adventure. You will witness snowy dust blurring the mountain range, yet have a distinct view. It’s unexplainable and beautiful out there. After quality time at Thorong La, we descend to Muktinath Temple, A holy place for Hindu people. 

This would be the end of our beautiful journey, Now you will be heading back to your home. You will be escorted back to Kathmandu and through an international flight, you go back to your home.

Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, your team will be waiting for you at the airport to greet you. They’ll assist you in reaching your hotel and provide a concise overview of your travel plans. Afterward, feel free to explore the city, shop for any essentials, or simply relax at the hotel.

Day 2:
Sightseeing and Exploring Kathmandu City

On the second day, you’ll be taken to visit certain heritage sites of Kathmandu city such as the Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swoyambhunath, and Bouddhanath, where you’ll get to know the cultures and traditions of Nepalese.

You’ll also have a meeting with your team in the evening for a briefing about the journey up ahead.

Day 3:
Drive to Syange via Besisar

Today you’ll get to Syange on a scenic ride with views of the high Himalayan peaks of Nepal. rivers, several streams, and amazing landscapes on Nepal’s busy highway.

You’ll be passing many towns, villages, and farmlands as you continue on your journey through Besisar following the Marysangdi River ultimately reaching Syange village, a place with wonderful waterfalls.

Day 4:
Trek to Dharapani

Early morning, you’ll begin your 6-hour trek to Dharapani, walking through a winding path reaching Jagat and then Chamje. Then, you’ll be passing through a forested area with stunning vistas of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges.

Ultimately, the trail leads us to our destination for the day, Dharapani village.

Day 5:
Trek to Chame

To reach Chame, you’ll trek through lush forests of rhododendrons and pine, passing beautiful local villages like Bagachap, Danque, Timang village, and Koto. Also, somewhere along the trail, you will get glimpses of one of the highest peaks, Mt. Manaslu (8,163m).

Then, continuing the path will get to Chame, a headquarters town of the Manang region.

Day 6:
Trek to Pisang

Moving on, the trail today is along the Marshyangdi River upstream, near the mountains, passing through alpine forests of rhododendrons and pine trees, to Bhratang village.

Continuing from Bhratang village, you’ll ascend through the highland forests to DhukurePokhari, where we’ll stop for lunch while enjoying the views of Chulu’s and Pisang Peak. You’ll then continue descending to Pisang village for the night.

Day 7:
Trek to Julu past Ngawal village

Our path will now diverge from the main Annapurna trails, getting us into remote and rugged areas above the Manang Valley towards Chulu East Peak.

Along the way, we’ll be treated to magnificent vistas of the Annapurna and Chulu peaks. As we climb up above Nagawa village, we enter into a more dry desert-like terrain. Eventually arriving at Jhulu, we’ll camp for the night.

Day 8:
Acclimatization at Julu village

You would have reached an elevation of 3,900m at Julu which will keep increasing as you move forward in the journey, so day 8 is taken as a break to adapt to the increasing elevations and different weather of the region.

However, you can choose to hike up to a certain viewpoint in the village to get the views of the Chulu’s peaks and other peaks.

Day 9:
Trek to Chulu Base Camp

On day 9, you’ll reach the Chulu Base Camp, a perfect spot beneath the tall Chulu East Peak with amazing views of surrounding snow-capped peaks.

We’ll begin our trek early through tough terrains and trails towards Chulu East close to Chulu Far East Peaks with views of Chulu’s and northern Annapurna range of mountains, and scenic Manang Valley.

Day 10:
Trek and climb to Chulu East Peak high / advance camp (4,955m)

The trek today will be the most challenging, as you’ll trek through rocks, ice, and glaciers on a faint and vague path used by the climbers. It’ll be a short trek but the most vigorous one.

But don’t worry, all your efforts will get you to the closest point of Chulu East Peak, the peak you’ll be climbing tomorrow. So, rest well as your guide scouts the area for the big day tomorrow.

Day 11:
Climb Chulu East Peak (6,584m) and descend back to Base Camp

The big day is here, today you’ll climb to the top of the Chulu East Peak which stands at 6,584m in height, with breathtaking panoramic vistas of the Annapurna-Damodar Himal, including the entire Chulu range.

You’ll start climbing before dawn following your guide’s lead along snowy trails up to a rocky and icy ridge. It will be a challenging, steep climb leading you to the summit of Chulu East Peak.

You’ll spend time at the top, enjoying this great feat, and soon head back down cautiously to the camp.

Day 12:
Trek to Julu village

After the exhilarating climb of Chulu East Peak yesterday, feeling the bliss and excitement of reaching the top of one of the highest trekking peaks, we’ll trek back to Julu village for the night.

You can spend the extra time at Julu resting and reenergizing yourself after the challenging climb you had yesterday.

Day 13:
Trek to Manang (3,540 m)

Today we’ll gradually walk towards Manang with awe-inspiring views of Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu’s, and Pisang Peak along the path. The path will be downhill passing through villages with Buddhist beliefs, and arid landscapes.

You’ll also get to visit the Braga monastery and witness the ancient Buddhist relics, and wall paintings. Thereon, we’ll continue our walk to Manang village.

Day 14:
Trek to Yak Kharka (4,210m)

We’ll continue through a short uphill path to the Ghunsang village from where we get views of snowcapped mountains. From here, a short ascent and crossing a small stream will get us to our destination for the day, Yak Kharka.

Yak Kharka is a small village offering great views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III, and Chulu Peaks.

Day 15:
Trek to Thorang- La High Camp or Phedi

Today we’ll set off from Yak Kharka to Thorang- La High Camp. we’ll follow a trail along the Jarjung River below and spectacular mountain views ahead of us. After a while, we’ll cross a suspension bridge and follow the trail up towards Thorong Phedi.

After some tough ascents and descents, we’ll reach Thorang-La High Camp, where we’ll be staying overnight.

Day 16:
Cross Thorang La Pass (5,416m) and descend to Muktinath (3,800m)

Day 16 will be yet another pinnacle moment of this trek, as today you’ll be crossing the Thorang La Pass. we will have a gradual climb up until we reach the pass, the highest point of the trek, rewarding us with views of snowcapped peaks.

Then with a long descent, we’ll reach the holy Muktinath Temple, sacred for both Hindus and Buddhists.

Day 17:
Drive Back to Jomsom

After visiting the Muktinath Temple and replenishing your energy at a lodge, we’ll head back to Jomsom via a bus or private jeep ride. The drive back will be long but equally interesting witnessing views of the arid rocky landscapes of the region, the smooth-flowing Kaligandaki River, and thick forests.

Upon reaching Jomson, you can spend your leisure time exploring the town, visiting shops, and observing the local people and their culture.

Day 18:
Fly/Drive Back to Pokhara

You’ll head back to Pokhara today either by a bus ride or via a scenic short flight. Upon your arrival at Pokhara, you’re free to either rest at your hotel or explore the city’s attractions such as the Phewa Lake, Paragliding areas, bustling lakeside markets, and more.

Day 19:
Drive/Fly to Kathmandu

The journey back to Kathmandu offers two options: bus or flight. Either option will give you a scenic experience of stunning mountains, lush forests, and rivers.

However, opting for a flight will also drastically increase your expenses, but the travel time will be just a mere 25-30 minutes.

Day 20:
Departure

Lastly, day 20 marks the end of your journey, as your representative will drive you to the TIA ensuring a smooth departure for your flight from Nepal.
