Makalu Base Camp Trek unfolds the sublime view of the snowy mountain region, providing a panoramic view of numerous mountain ranges including Mount Everest and Mount Makalu. 

Without Delay, Now Let’s embark on our Journey to Makalu Base Camp, this trek is an 18-day long trek offering unreal visuals of mountains. Our trek begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar. A gorgeous view of the Alps could be seen from this flight. 

Following an ecstatic flight, we navigate our way to our first major viewpoint, Shipton and Keke La pass, trekking through, Tumlingtar to Num, Num to Seduwa, Seduwa to Tashigaon, Tashi gaon to Khongma Danda,  and finally Khongma Danda to Shipton La Pass and then to Keke La pass. 

Our journey to Shipton and Keke La Pass will be filled with enticing views. Firstly, we stumble upon a village, Num village. Num village is stationed at the edge of riffs, displaying a wonderful panoramic view of the surrounding village and mountain peaks. 

Thereafter, we stroll into another picturesque, Seduwa. Seduwa village comes right after Num Village. Here in Seduwa village, we get an exceptional view of the Makalu Massif. 

Lastly, we come across Tashi gaon, another village offering an ethereal view of Makalu massif and its neighboring peaks. All these villages have a visually stunning sight and are filled with unique customs and crafts. 

We get to immerse ourselves in the traditional culture and lifestyle of the inhabitants of each village.  Now, we finally reach Shipton La Pass, our first viewpoint. 

Shipton La Pass greets us with an encompassing 360-degree view of several mountain ranges including Makalu, Chamlang, and Baruntse. From here we get to witness snow-capped mountain peaks emerging from the white dust of cloud. 

Consequently, after 4 to 5 hours of trek, we reach Keke La Pass, another viewpoint of Makalu Base Camp Trek. Similar to Shipton La Pass, Keke La Pass also has a stunning panoramic view of heavenly towering mountain ranges. 

After experiencing all these beautiful viewpoints, we led our way to the destination of this journey, Makalu Base Camp. Treks you need to travel to get to Makalu Base Camp are; Keke La pass to Dobate, Dobate to Yangle Kharka, Yangle Kharka to Langmale Kharka, and lastly, Langmale Kharka to Makalu Base Camp. 

The journey from Dobate to Makalu Base Camp will be lined with majestic scenery, including, the soaring Barun River partnered with the serenity of the Chamlang and Tutse Mountains. Also, we get a gorgeous view of the dense grasslands of Yak Kharka, Jhak Kharka, and Merek. 

Finally, we reached Makalu Base Camp. Makalu Base Camp will be a rewarding viewpoint embellished with the sight of alluring glaciers and lakes. Makalu Base Camp presents an awe-inspiring, unobstructed vista of countless mountain ranges, Mt. Everest (8,848.86m), Chamlang (7,319m ), Lhotse (8,516m), Baruntse (7,129m), and others. 

After beholding the astounding grandeur of Makalu Base Camp we retrace our way back to Tumlingtar, through the following treks, Makalu Base Camp to Yangle Kharka, Yangle Kharka to Dobate, Dobate to Khongma Danda, Khongma Danda to Seduwa, and finally Seduwa to Tumlingtar. 

Upon reaching Tumlingtar we fly back to Kathmandu relishing all the scenic views. This will be the end of our thrilling journey to Makalu Base Camp.
